Could the world be changed if enough people broke free of the gravitational pull of poverty and lack? (click thru the link above)
Money is like love; it kills slowly and painfully the one who withholds it, and enlivens the other who turns it on his fellow man.
Money’s one of those tricky things. Go after it too hard, and it will probably flee from you. If you do catch it, you won’t be happy and fulfilled anyway. Pursue other more valuable things, and money will be attracted to you. Here are some fascinating money quotes from history as well as our own time …
- “Money is like love; it kills slowly and painfully the one who withholds it, and enlivens the other who turns it on his fellow man.” ~ Kahlil Gibran (Lebanese-American artist, poet, and writer)
- “Money is usually attracted, not pursued.” ~ Jim Rohn
Can a ‘poverty mindset’ ever be a good thing? Yes. In this way:
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
This is something Jesus said. Another translation has it as “God blesses those who realize their need for him” (Matt. 5.3, New Living Translation).
If we realize we need Him, if we freely admit we do not know everything, then we are blessed. If we desire to know Him more clearly and to learn from Him … we position ourselves to experience the reality of His Kingdom.
You Mean We’re Children Now?

Debt is a force … a benumbing, spiritual force. As a nation, and as individuals and families, debt is not our ally.
Our national government is over 15 trillion dollars in the hole.
Most of us cannot wrap our minds around this number. It’s a nearly unfathomable amount of money. When your heart feels strong, take a look at the U.S. National Debt Clock (!)
The Architects of our republic vigorously warned us about this …
He wasted 13 years of his adult life. Later, he was the Chief Solutions Officer at Yahoo! and then their Leadership Coach. He’s now a consultant to some of the biggest brands in the world.
Waiting to become “rich” is a deception.
Forged in the fires of the Depression Era, Billye, his grandmother, imparted 7 principles of wisdom and positivity into Tim Sander’s life: 1) Feed your mind the good stuff … 2) Move the conversation forward … 3) Exercise your gratitude muscle … 4) Give to be rich … 5) Prepare yourself … 6) Balance your confidence … 7) Promise made, promise kept.
