It’s easy to lose perspective in life.
There’s certainly never been a noisier and distracting time in history. A lot of things are vying for our attention. And here’s the thing – when our perspective becomes inaccurate, skewed and distorted, there is always some price to pay.
The issue could be something smaller in scale. If so, the outcome is not as consequential. If the issue is bigger, the outcome correspondingly scales.
Our LIFE-PERSPECTIVE either exacts some price or it pays some level of dividends.
For me, the issue in the video by Moving Works is cosmic. It’s a meta-issue that I cannot evade, shaping the contours of everything in my personal world. With many others through time, this shapes my worldview. It’s a horizon in my life which keeps me orientated … true north, a personal Polaris.
And I believe, ultimately, it will shape and direct everything in history, seen and unseen.
Nature itself, history, and the human conscience are always communicating to us. “By faith we understand …” (Heb. 11:3). Can we tune in to the signal through the noise?
And here’s what I believe …
The preeminence of Christ only empowers us individually as well as elevates all things – all of creation – to the level of intended design.
